Travel Inspiration for Your Next Adventure, Each Kate Curates itinerary is designed with you in mind…

Cultural Explorations

My curiosity for travel stems, in part, from studying cultural anthropology undergrad. I love delving deep into a destination, meeting locals, learning its history, finding its soul and what makes each place unique. Whether it’s through the eyes of a local guide, who will take you into their home and introduce you to their family, or by exploring the local market to find produce and cooking it with a chef, stopping into a family run farm in Costa Rica or spending a day with tribesmen on the plains of Kenya, I hope to infuse each itinerary with a deeper meaning by ensuring my clients are able to interact with the native culture.

Honeymoons

A once in a lifetime trip, your honeymoon deserves to be designed with love! Each couple is different, and each honeymoon should be as well. Honeymoons I’ve planned have included a relaxing overwater villa stay, a romantic drive along the Italian Riviera, an action-packed adventure in Peru, and many more in between. My goal is to personalise your trip, so it suits you as a couple, always adding special one-of-a-kind touches along the way, from your favourite flowers and champagne on arrival to a private candlelit dinner under the stars. By taking the stress away from the planning, you’ll have time to enjoy each other’s company and build happy memories you’ll treasure forever.

Family Holidays

Planning family travel can be overwhelming. From finding rooms that comfortably accommodate the whole group, to seeking out the best family-friendly activities, I can help find the right thing to appeals to the masses. Whether it’s a multi-generational trip or your first time away with a new baby, my goal is to ensure as much stress as possible is taken out of the equation. Your hotel or villa will be selected specifically to suit your needs and I’ll make sure everything is set up before you arrive, from cots and bottle warmers to wheelchair friendly access, arranging babysitters or nannies and finding the right restaurants to suit the whole group. You’ll be able to go away knowing you can relax.

Sustainable Travel

There’s so much to consider when booking a holiday, but in an ever-changing and increasingly eco-conscious world, we can all do our best to make a positive impact when we go abroad. I aim to work with hotels that are eco-friendly and focus on sustainability, and with suppliers who encourage and have an awareness of sustainable travel practices. Not only does this help our planet on its people, it also brings more meaning for the traveller.

Some of my favourite bespoke experiences

A two-month trip across South America

This trip for an active couple included extensive private touring, and included a stay in a luxury Airstream camper in the middle of the Bolivian Salt Flats, a luxury cruise down the Amazon River in Peru, and treks in Patagonia’s Torres del Paine National Park. My clients loved riding in Argentina’s pampas and taking in the scene in Rio de Janeiro. The trip ended in barefoot luxury on a gorgeous beach in Trancoso, along the Brazilian coast.

A Scottish adventure for a client who loved the bestselling book Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart

This lovely trip for two academics began with an in-depth exploration of Glasgow, following in the footsteps of Shuggie Bain, but also enjoying the cities unique art and foodie scene. They enjoyed a drive up the north coast of Scotland, through the dramatic Highlands, and down into the Cairngorms with beautiful hotels and unforgettable planned experiences along the way.

A Stylish Honeymoon in Cuba & Mexico

The key to this trip was narrowing down what my lovely clients wanted out of their honeymoon – we discussed safaris in Africa, a romantic stay along the French Riviera, and even a boat trip in the Galapagos Islands. Ultimately, they decided to combine a bit of culture and relaxation, starting with a few nights in Cuba’s vibrant capital, Havana, before heading to the Yucatan Peninsula to visit cenotes, Mayan ruins, and jungles. They ended their trip with some much-needed R&R in a boutique hotel in the hippie-chic town of Tulum on Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

A Roadtrip through America, visiting National Parks and Ranches

This self-drive itinerary included visits to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Canyon, but also took my clients on a journey through lesser-known Parks in the US, from Monument Valley to Glacier National Park. As they were travelling with children, I found accommodation that was unique and child friendly, from a converted motel in Whitefish, Montana, to a family glamping tent in Zion National Park.
