A mysterious, mountainous land, with pristine beaches, dense forests and deep canyons, shipwrecks, bustling fishing villages, and some of the most unique and unusual plant and animal life found anywhere on the planet.

Algeria is a country of striking contrasts, from the vast Saharan landscapes around Djanet — with Tikobawin’s arches and the lush Iherir oasis — to the Mediterranean energy of Algiers. This adventure starts in Algeria’s capital, exploring the coastal ruins of Tipasa, Constantine’s dramatic bridges and ravines, and the Roman city of Djémila. From there, we will fly south, deep into the Sahara, where you’ll wander through rock gardens, towering pillars and arches of Tikobawin, and the cool canyon pools and lush gueltas, accompannied by warm Tuareg hosts.

Gilgit-Baltistan, tucked high in northern Pakistan, is a land of staggering beauty where the world’s greatest mountain ranges: the Karakoram, Himalaya, and Hindu Kush meet. Glacial rivers carve through deep valleys, villages cling to terraced hillsides, and turquoise lakes mirror snow-capped peaks. Despite its rugged remoteness, the region remains warm and welcoming, offering travellers a glimpse of a culture shaped by centuries of isolation and breathtaking natural grandeur.
